Abstract

The band of material to be treated passes from top to bottom through a stack of drying chambers through which air is blown by associated blowers. The air is pref. drawn through heat exchangers and heated fluid is passed upwardly and serially through the heat exchangers of the stack. The heat exchangers may be arranged in an open or closed circuit. The band passes through progressively hotter drying zones.
