Abstract
Composite anti-friction bearing alloy for powerful motors comprises steel backing plate and Al alloy inner face. Al alloy comprises essentially 0.5-15% Pb, (pref. 1-10 % Pb), balance Al. The alloy may be cast, fritted or plated onto the steel backing strip. For certain applications the Al alloy contains 0.1-20% Pb and 1-15% Si, besides 0.01-5% Mg, Mn, Fe or Ni separately or in combination.
