Abstract

Cotton or wool rovings pass from each of a series of combing mechanisms through associated auxiliary drawing rollers and pref. associated guides or guide tubes, and are deposited parallely on a conveyor band which conducts them to the main drawing frame. Pref. the guides or guide tubes are inclined to the conveyor axis, and the fibres are inclined with respect to the roving axis. The mechanism produces rovings of uniform density.
