Abstract
Comps. contg. ascorbic acid, arginine, NH4Cl and a Mg salt are administered to captive young pheasants to prevent them pecking one another. In an example, a comp. contg. 24 g. ascorbic acid, 40 g. arginine hydrochloride, 21 g. NH4Cl and 15 g. MgCl2 was dissolved in drinking water at the rate of 4 g/litre and fed to captive young pheasants. After one week all pecking ceased.
