Abstract

The machine divides a definite quantity of dough into a number of portions of equal weight. It consists of a receptacle on wheels having a base made from a movable piston; the latter when driven by a hydraulic, electric or mechanical jack pushes the dough against the cover and distributes it uniformly in the receptacle. The cover is then replaced by a grid held in position by clamps and the dough is forced through the grid; the lumps of dough, each of which contains the amt. necessary for making a loaf, are then removed from the top of the grid.
