Abstract

Heater, common to many yarns, is at a temp. near the yarn m.p. or above it. The yarn is passed over a cooler waiting trajectory running along the heating path and communicating transversely with it. The yarn is seized by different guide, linear drive and texturizing (pref. false twisting) elements. The drive and false twister, if any, are clutched in on their drive shafts, and the yarn is fed into its heating path from the waiting path.
