Abstract

The section is arranged on an assembly table supported in the centre of its lower surface by a universal joint resting on the ground. The table can be tilted by two hydraulically controlled motors or by electric motors which are mounted between the ground and two points on the underside of the table; the line joining these two points does not pass through the centre of the underside of the table resting on the universal joint. A level control emits a signal to a control device to maintain the part to be welded horizontal during the welding operation on the table.
