Abstract

Principal patent relates to drums for treatment of material (exp. textiles) guided over it by a current of cooling air, in which the cooling fan is eccentric of axis of drum. Improvement is that each half of each drum (joined conventionally in pairs to give subassemblies) is associated with a separate ventilator and air-heater. Rolling angle is as large as possible without hindering treating fluid, efficiency is good. In each sub-assembly, one drum pref. lies vertically above the other. Pref. the direction of treated materials advance is at right angles to the common plane of a pair of drums.
