Abstract

Treatment solution is dosed into a pipe in proportion to the rate of flow of water through the pipes. The unit comprises a flow-meter which fits in the pipe line and a housing for pump and solution reservoir which can be turned with respect to the flow-meter so that the pump and reservoir are upright no matter what the disposition of the pipeline. The reservoir can be made easily removable, pref. expendable by fitting a refill reservoir; this improves pump cleanliness and reliability, particularly when handling solutions of silicates and polyphosphates.
