Abstract

The present invention concerns a measurement arrangement for geodetic measurement, like mapping measurements of roads, said measurement arrangement including: a first receiving device 9 with corresponding antenna 2a, this receiving device being arranged at a predetermined distance at a fixed point p1 whose coordinates x1, y1, h1 are known, to receive a satellite signal; a second receiving device 10 connected to a vehicle 1 with corresponding antenna 2b to receive a satellite signal; means of recording 11 which are connected to the first and second receiving devices to record the received satellite signal; and a computing arrangement 12, which is connected to the means of recording, to calculate the coordinates x2, y2, h2 of a measurement point p2. According to the invention the following belong to the second receiving device 10: a follower 3 which is moveably connected to the vehicle 1 to follow the changes of the ground surface in the vertical direction; and a transmitter 4, which is connected to the follower and the antenna to transmit vertical changes of the ground surface as a vertical movement of the antenna 2 so that the antenna's distance from the measurement point is kept constant. Because of the present invention mapping carried out by means of GPS satellite measurement is much more accurate than previous mapping. <IMAGE>
