Abstract

The invention relates to a device for fastening installation elements, in particular wall panels on a room wall, comprising a metal rail (1, 2) which exhibits, on the longitudinal edges of the rear side, a projecting web (3, 3', 4, 4') and an assembly point, said assembly point exhibiting in each case one hole circle (5, 6) having eight holes which are distributed on the circumference of the hole circle (5, 6) at angular spacings of 45 degrees and into which fastening parts for the respective installation element can be inserted, and the respective hole circle (5, 6) exhibiting a diameter so that it corresponds with corresponding spacings of associated holes of the installation element, in particular of the wall panel, and that at least two holes are provided for fastening the metal rail (1, 2) on a room wall. According to the invention, the device is characterised in that it exhibits two metal rails (1, 1', 2) which can be displaced relative to one another and in whose respective end region there is arranged a hole circle (5, 6) known per se, and the spacing of the two hole circles (5, 6) can be changed (12), and fixed, in steps or continuously within a fixed displacement path, and the holes of the hole circle (5, 6) are designed as radially aligned slots (7). <IMAGE>
