Abstract

The object of the invention is a packing blank and a packing produced from same, suitable for sending books by post. On the surface of a rectangular cardboard slab 1 is fixed a transverse paper or cardboard tape 3, and on the same surface near the longer edges of the cardboard slab 1 are fixed cardboard tabs 5. In a finished packing, the tape 3 passes round the four edges of the article and the cardboard slab 1 is bent into a flat outer wrapping sleeve in a direction transverse to the slab. The cardboard tabs 5 form the box spaces 11 at the ends of the article, which box spaces are drawn in relative to the end edges 12 of the outer wrapping sleeve. <IMAGE>
