Abstract

The invention relates to improvements in or relating to a device in a lampholder (1) including a fastening member (2) for fixing the lampholder to a lamp foot, attachment plate or the like, means (3) for retaining a lampholder part (4) to the fastening member (2) and a cord retainer (5) for positionally fixing an electric cord (6) taken to the lampholder (1). The fastening member comprises a fastening plate (2) which, from one side (7) facing away from the side (8) carrying the lampholder part (4) thrusts out a predetermined distance at least two mutually reciprocably movable elongate tongue elements (9) at predetermined mutual spacing, between and along which the cord (6) extends into the lampholder (1), a cap (10) being thrustable over said elements (9) for clamping them against the cord (6), thereby forming a cord retainer for secure positional fixation of the cord (6) to the lampholder (1).
