Abstract

A granule implant intended for implantation in living tissue, in which a constituent 4 of the granule material is a mixture of Ca-P glass which is absorbed in tissue, such as bone, soft tissue or biomass. Where greater stability is required, a constituent 2 which is a non- absorbable mixture of biological glass or Ca-P glass can be added to the granule material. According to the invention, at least the absorbable Ca-P glass alloy constituent 4 contains hydroxyapatite or HA as alloy material in order to promote attachment of tissue and other components. To regulate the rate of absorption, the granule material contains a constituent 3 which in composition is a slowly absorbable mixture of Ca-P glass and HA. <IMAGE>
