Abstract

The invention relates to a sealing arrangement in an injection pump for a combustion engine, especially a large diesel engine, which arrangement prevents excess fuel leaking into the lubricant chamber of the lifting element and/or into the lubricant oil sump of the pump, or into the crankcase. According to the invention the said sealing arrangement 1, 2 is arranged in connection with the lifting element 4 of the injection pump piston. The lifting element 4 is advantageously a pin-shaped element that is introduced into the internal chamber of the injection pump via an opening in the sealing flange 5 forming the bottom part of the pump body, so that the said sealing arrangement 1, 2 is situated between the lifting element 4 and the opening in the sealing flange 5. <IMAGE>
