Abstract

A fitting 1 with a thermostat-controlled mixing valve 2a and check valve 4 for connection to an inlet pipe 5 for cold water and an outlet pipe 6 for hot water in a hot water vessel of the pressure type, in which the inlet pipe 5 for cold water is arranged within the outlet pipe 6 for hot water. The housing of fitting 1 has two tubes 7, 8 for cold water and warm water respectively and a cross connection 9 for cold mixing water between them. In the hot water tube 8 a thermostat 2 is arranged with a valve stem 2b spring-loaded against the valve seat 2c in the cross connection 9. The outlet connector 8a of the hot water tube 8 is transverse to a part of the cold water tube 7 and discharges into it via the cross connection 9. Thermostat stem 2b, which represents the annular valve step 2b, is spring-loaded against the valve seat 2c in the discharge of cross connection 9 into the hot water tube 8. Thermostat 2 extends into the transverse connection 9 and is connected to a control spindle 10 which extends across the mentioned part of the cold water tube 7 for cooperation with a control device 11 on the outside of the housing of the fitting 1. To produce a fitting that is small and whose valve housing also is easy to machine, one part 8b of the hot water tube 8 extends between its outlet connector 8a and the inlet connector 8c for hot water outlet tube 6 obliquely passed the thermostat stem 2b and the opening diameter of the hot water outlet connector 8a is larger than the diameter in the oblique part 8b of the hot water tube 8. <IMAGE>
