Abstract

1. A two-stage process for the delignification of sulfate pulps produced under alkaline or neutral conditions using oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, characterized in that the pulp is pretreated simultaneously with oxygen and hydrogen peroxide at a pH value of < 5 and then further delignified with oxygen in alkaline medium.
