The invention relates to a combined advertising brochure or the like and a transmission bag.

In the office technology and printing industry, many different combinations of printed product and envelope have been developed, especially to facilitate office work. However, the advertising industry has had shortcomings in this respect in the efficient production and delivery of multifunctional advertising brochures for mailing.

The object of the present invention is to provide a combined advertising brochure and a mailing bag, the product of which can be made on machines known in the printing industry as a finished product for delivery to customers, the product comprising easy-to-view and turn-over pages and a booklet-like structure.

Figure 1 shows a paper web to be used in a product, which by way of example has four separate areas, referred to herein as parts 1, 2, 3 and 4. In addition, the paper includes a closure strip 5 associated with the paper web in this part 1. The paper bending points are shown in broken lines.

In addition to these sides, the product includes a bag formed by the first 1 and fourth parts 4. An opening 12 may be made in the first part, showing the name and address of the recipient in a letter or other material placed inside the bag. When the sealing strip 5 is glued closed, the combined advertising brochure and the transmission bag are ready to be mailed.

The invention makes it possible to provide a product which enables mechanical automatic bagging and which is easy for the consumer to open.

Additional pages can be obtained in the product, for example, by dividing the web into, for example, six parts instead of four; then the size of the bag decreases.

If desired, perforations can be added to the bag, for example, next to the adhesives 8, which makes it possible for the consumer to easily open the bag, whereby the interior of the bag can also be used for advertising texts, suitable communications or the like.

The performance of different functions depends on the machines and equipment used.

If suitable perforating devices are not available or if otherwise desired, the product can be manufactured without perforations 6, in which case the product is opened, for example, with a paper knife.

Also, for example, the bagging can be performed before the last stage of the parts, i.e. in the step shown in Figure 3, or only finally before gluing the sealing strip.

The closing of the product can also be performed in such a way that the closing strip closes only the bag and not the sides, in which case the product can be attached to a magazine, for example, for distribution.

Otherwise, the method and the product produced by it can be changed and modified within the scope of the claims according to the circumstances.
