Abstract

A sample is taken of a suspension in a process into a measurement device (100), and the sample is closed into a measurement receptacle (102). A radio frequency signal is led through the sample in a vertical direction by means of a transceiver (108 - 112). The impact of air bubbles on the measurement is decreased. The transit time of the measurement signal and the temperature are measured, and the relative proportion of the substance to be measured in the sample is determined by means of these in a measurement unit (114).
