Abstract
Purification of wastewater produced in fish farming includes a screen purification stage which utilizes screen(s) into which wastewater produced in fish farming is conveyed, and a flotation stage where solid matter (concentrated wastewater fraction) caught on the screen is passed to separate solid particles from wastewater by using gas bubbles and chemicals introduced into the liquid. Purification of wastewater produced in fish farming includes screen purification stage to which wastewater produced in fish farming is conveyed, and flotation stage. The screen purification stage utilizes screen(s) to which wastewater is passed. The filtered wastewater fraction (main water fraction) is conveyed away e.g. into a receiving watercourse, and a proportion of solid matter (sludge) that has not been deposited in the fish tanks and sedimentation basin is recovered by the screen. The screen purification achieves concentration of sludge (concentrated wastewater fraction). The solid matter (concentrated wastewater fraction) caught on the screen is passed to a flotation stage, where solid particles are separated from the wastewater by gas bubbles and chemicals introduced into the liquid. The resulting concentrated wastewater is free of solid matter.
