Abstract

The present invention relates to a package made of a pleated film which, in particular, but not exclusively, can be used to package bulk goods such as chips.

On the other hand, none of these packages is capable of packing multiple articles which are non-uniform because they do not have a permanent shape and because it is impossible to extend the package. In a first embodiment of the invention, the pleated package is made of a thin film according to French patents FR-A-2595666 and FR-A-2676037; the pleating settles into a substantially flat and rectangular shape 10; the package is folded over itself (Fig. 1) such that the formed fold 1 or folds 2 (Fig. 2) are perpendicular to the glass 3 constituting the package (Fig. 1); next, the side edges 4 and 5 are secured together in a thin film composition by a suitable member to form a pouch; by suitable pleating it is possible to form the accordion 6 at the bottom of this bag 15 (Fig. 2) so as to provide more space at the bottom of the bag.
