CONSISTE EN CAUSAR EN LA CELULA DE LA PLANTA NIVELES DE ACTIVIDAD GS (SINTETASA DE GLUTAMINA) QUE HACEN A DICHA CELULA SUSTANCIALMENTE RESISTENTE AL HERBICIDA INHIBIDOR GS. ENTRE LAS PLANTAS DICOTILEDONEAS CAPACES DE SOPORTAR MANIPULACION GENETICA SE CITAN DIVERSAS ESPECIES DE PATATA, TOMATE, PIMIENTA, TABACO, LEGUMBRES, ETC.
