CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE UN ACIDO DE LEWIS CON UN DERIVADO DE N-FTALOIL-3-(34-DIHIDROXIFENIL)SERINA DE FORMULA (I) EN LA QUE R1 Y R2 PUEDEN SER HIDROGENO O METILO O FORMAR JUNTOS UN GRUPO METILENO; REACCION QUE SE LLEVA A CABO EN UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO INERTE EN PRESENCIA DE 1 A 5 MOLES DE UN MERCAPTANO QUE TIENE 1 A 20 ATOMOS DE CARBONO A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE C10 Y 30JC; SEGUIDA DE LA SEPARACION DEL GRUPO FTALOILO DEL COMPUESTO FORMADO. ESTE COMPUESTO TIENE APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE LA HIPOTENSION ORTOSTATICA PERIFERICA COMO ANTIDEPRESIVO Y ANTIPARKINSONIANO.
