Abstract

For clamping pressure plates, a clamp with a support bolt (19) is provided, the foot section (21) of which can be accommodated in a T-shaped slot (13) of the table (11) of a stamping press, in order thus to fix the support bolt (19) in the vertical direction. A generally portable hydraulic cylinder (29) is held in parallel alignment with the shaft (23) of the support bolt (19) by a holder (27) which is fastened to the shaft (23) of the support bolt (19). A clamp arm (31) is mounted both pivotably and height-adjustably on the shaft (23) of the support bolt (19). The clamp arm (31) has two contact surfaces (41, 43), one of which interacts with the contact surface of the hydraulic cylinder (29) and the other with the pressure plate (61) to be fixed. The arrangement allows an above-centre interaction with the pressure plate (61) to be clamped and the contact surface (43) of the arm (31).
