Abstract

The switch provides the combined control of turn indicators and various levels of vehicle lighting as well as audible and visual warning signals. The switch has a multiple cam, fixed on two shafts which are axially traversed by the operating lever. The driven shaft has some angular freedom relative to the driving shaft, which carries a three position indexing cam, a stop cam, and a cam for the lighting switch. - The driven shaft carries cams for signal and headlamps, an indexing cam, and a cam to cause the driven shaft to follow the driving shaft. The driving shaft has three teeth engaging the blade of a ratchet, rotating on a carrier which operates against a stop during the positioning of the lever in a momentary contact position.
