Abstract
The invention relates to a method for automatically adjusting the actuation or control moment for triggering the combustion of a combustion engine with at least one cylinder. The angular position of the engine shaft is measured at the moment when a phenomen occurs which is representative of the operating conditions of the engine and has a random character and when at least one number P of validated measurements has been received during a number of periods which is at least equal to a specific value 1, a statistical angular value is determined which is representative of the validated measurements and, starting from this statistical value, a modified value of the control moment for the triggering of the combustion is determined and passed to the actuation or control devices in such a way that this statistical value assumes a predetermined value V. The application is for setting the control moment for triggering the combustion of a combustion engine.
