Abstract

Each drafting arrangement has a suction tube or pipe 11 connected with an air pressure sink. The suction tube contains a first suction opening 31 associated with the outfeed end of a pair of delivery rolls or cylinders 18, 19 and a second suction opening arranged neighboring a stripper 34 located adjacent one of the delivery rolls and extending essentially parallel to the roll axis. To simplify the construction and, in particular, in order to increase the width of the suction zones or fields emanating from the suction openings, the stripper or scraper is mounted in an open end of the suction tube and subdivides this open end into the first and second suction openings.
