ESTE TIENE UN ORIFICIO PASANTE, QUE ESTA CERRADO POR LA PARED INTERIOR DE LA VASIJA DURANTE EL CULTIVO DE LOS MICROORGANISMOS ANAEROBICOS, PERO CUANDO LOS GASES PRODUCIDOS TIENEN UNA PRESION QUE EXCEDE DE UN DETERMINADO NIVEL, EL TAPON ES FORZADO HACIA ARRIBA DE MODO QUE EL ORIFICIO PASANTE ALCANZA UNA POSICION TAL QUE EL INTERIOR DE LA VASIJA SE COMUNICA CON EL EXTERIOR Y LOS GASES PUEDEN DESCARGARSE.
