Abstract

In order to reduce the ohmic and inductive losses associated to the high current between the transformer and the electrodes (4, 5) of an electric oven (1), there are used, instead of cables, rails (17, 21) supplied by the source and on which sliding contact elements (17, 21) are applied by springs. The contact elements are designed so as to allow a lifting motion of the electrodes and a slight tilting of the oven. A mechanical separation of the contact allows the rotation of the cover without any obstacle for reloading the oven.
