Abstract

A tablet for local ophthalmological applications is between 8 and 14 mm long, between 3 and 14 mm wide and between 0.05 and 1 mm high and contains at least one water insoluble ophthalmologically acceptable carrier and at least one ophthalmologically acceptable active substance. A method for producing such tablet is characterized in that the active substance(s) is(are) mixed in the carrier(s) before compressing the product.
