Abstract

1. Método e instalación para la granulación de una masa fundida, preferentemente un metal fundido, disgregando una corriente de colada vertical de la misma fundida por medio de un chorro de gas que fluye a través de una boquilla a una presión elevada y que choca la corriente de colada a partir del costado a gran velocidad, que disgrega la corriente de colada en gotitas y proyecta las gotitas lateralmente a lo largo de una trayectoria sustancialmente parabólica y refrigera las gotitas transformándolas en un polvo preferentemente de forma esférica, caracterizado dicho método porque el chorro de gas (22) está provisto de un canal, abierto en su parte superior, con una sección transversal preferentemente en forma de V que intercepta la corriente de colada (18) del metal fundido de tal manera que el centro de la corriente de colada está situada en o cerca del plano de simetría vertical del chorro de gas (26) que tiene la misma dirección principal que el chorro de gas en forma de canal (22), oblicuamente hacia abajo en dirección a la parte inferior del chorro de gas en forma de canal (22) y hacia la corriente de colada (18).
