Abstract
The mixed water heating system uses a vertical hot water tank (1) with a heating coil (2) in the base connected to a solar heat collector. The height of the tank is much greater than the diameter. The cold water entry (6) is at the bottom. An electric resistance heater (4) is suspended inside the top. A hot water delivery line (8) is connected at the top, and another (9) lower down, with thermostats (5, 17) adjacent. The upper hot water line (8) is connected by a one wayvalve (15) and a pump (16) to the bottom of the tank. The two hot water outlets are connected by a mixer unit (10) and this is followed by another mixer (11) with a connection (12) to the cold water supply.
