Abstract
Perfeccionamientos en estructuras de pilas de combustible, y mas concretamente en apilamientos de pilas que comprenden una pluralidad de pilas electroquímicas, presentando cada pila una capa de catalizados de ánodo y una capa de catalizador de cátodo distanciadas, siendo apto el espacio existente entre ellas para que sea depositado un electrolito en él, caracterizados porque cada pila comprende un par de capas de distribución, cada una de las cuales posee unas primeras y unas segundas superficies opuestas, estando enfrentadas una a otra dichas primeras superficies de pilas contiguas; y una capa continua de material impermeable al gas dispuesta entre las dos citadas primeras superficies y en contacto sustancialmente continuo dicha segunda superficie de una de dicho par de capas de distribución de gas con la capa de catalizador de cátodo de una de dichas pilas de combustible, y estando en contacto sustancialmente continuo dicha segunda superficie de dicha otra capa de distribución de gas conla capa de catalizador de ánodo de la siguiente pila contigua, en el cual apilamiento dichas capas de distribución de gas son porosas al gas, y son suficientemente espesas y comprenden suficientes poros bastantes grandes para permitir un flujo sustancialmente libre de un gas reaccionante a través de las mismas, tanto perpendicularmente como paralelamente a los planos de sus superficies.
