Abstract

The motorcycle has a propulsion unit comprising an engine and gearbox assembly, together with a front and a rear wheel, each with its suspension system. each suspension system comprises one or more swing arms, the arms being coupled together by the propulsion unit. The fuel tank can be mounted below the propulsion unit extending for its whole length. The front suspension system may have one arm, or two mounted one above the other and extending horizontally. The arms hinge at the rear on a spindle on the unit, while at the front is a pivot joint for the steering column. There may be a spindle mounted in the column, with the wheel on one side and a disc brake on the other.
