Abstract
El presente invento se refiere a un aparato y a un método para impedir la deformación de tubos y de placas de tubos situadas en puntos adyacentes a un tubo que se cierra herméticamente mediante soldadura por explosivo. Por consiguiente, se proporcionan unos obturadores de soporte amovibles que se introducen en los tubos adyacentes a un tubo que tiene fugas y que ha de ser herméticamente cerrado por obturadores activados por explosivo. Cada uno de los obturadores de soporte incluye un par de cuñas y un dispositivo de accionamiento en forma de cuña el cual, cuando se desplaza hacia el tubo soportado, ensancha las cuñas radialmente hacia el exterior contra la pared circundante del tubo para proporcionar el soporte deseado de la pared del tubo y de la hoja de tubos durante la detonación del obturador activado por explosivo. Cuando el tubo que tiene fugas ha sido herméticamente cerrado, el dispositivo de accionamiento se retira del tubo soportado, liberando las cuñas y permitiendo la extraccióndel obturador de soporte del tubo soportado.
