Dispositivo para curtir, teñir o realizar operaciones similares, con un tambor rotatorio colocado horizontalmente, que tiene una envolvente de tambor preferiblemente cilíndrica, que está cerrada por los lados frontales mediante paredes de cierre y contiene en el interior un recinto de curtación o de tinción, que es accesible a través de orificios de llenado susceptibles de ser cerrados en la envolvente de tambor para la carga y la descarga, y con un eje hueco puesto en comunicación con el recinto de curtación o de tinción.
