A method for electrostatically depositing a coating of fluff fibers on an adhesive coated surface, comprising the steps of gravitationally passing dried fluff fibers, of lengths from about 0.010 to about 0.250 inch (about 0.254 to 6.35 mm) and weights from about 1.5 to about 30 denier, at a regulated rate, to a venturi tube.
