Abstract
A method of making a catalytic composition of improved activity, which comprises subjecting a zeolite to the crystal structure of the mordenite, and containing less than about 5% by weight of sodium as na2o, to an aqueous ammoniacal treatment at a ph of at least about 9.5, and calcining the zeolite thus treated, in intimate admixture with a refractory inorganic oxide, to form a catalytic composition therewith.
