Procedimiento para la preparación de derivados de ácido hidroxámido, de la fórmula general I **(Fórmula)** en la que R1 representa metilo o etilo, R2 representa hidrógeno, metilo o etilo y R3 y R4 significan, independientemente uno de otro, cada uno metilo o etilo, que constituyen la materia activa en la formulación de agentes para retardar o inhibir el crecimiento vegetal.
