Abstract

Un procedimiento para preparar una composición susceptible de ser tratada como un termoplástico y un elastómero, que comprende triturar y hacer reaccionar con un agente de curado para el caucho, una mezcla de (a) resina de poliamida termoplástica en cantidad suficiente para impartir carácter termoplástico hasta 50 por ciento en peso de la composición, (b) caucho, siendo el caucho un homopolímero de 1,3-butadieno, un copolímero de 1,3-butadieno copolimerizado con estireno, vinil-piridina, acrilonitrilo o metacrilonitrilo, o mezclas de ellos, en cantidad suficiente para impartir elasticidad tipo caucho hasta el 80 por ciento en peso de la composición, y (c) opcionalmente, plastificante de resina de poliamida en cantidad que no exceda del peso de resina, donde el peso total del caucho y plastificante no excede del 80 por ciento en peso de la composición, efectuándose la reacción de curado hasta un grado en que el contenido del gel del caucho es al menor 80%.
