Abstract
Procedure for obtaining foamed materials from mixtures of polyolefins and styrene polymers, characterized in that it comprises mixing polymers with low boiling point propellants at temperatures above the plasticization point of the polymer mixture, under pressure which is above the vapor pressure of the propellant at a mixing temperature; and pressing the mixture in a low pressure zone, the polymer mixture containing from 10 to 95% by weight of a styrene polymer and mixing the polymers with the propellant in the presence of 0.5 to 10% in weight, based on the polymer mixture, of a hydrogenated styrene-butadiene block polymer or a styrene graft polymer on a polyolefin.
