Abstract

A method of forming a twisted yarn from at least two separate strands, which comprises making the strands converge at a point of convergence, inducing torsion in the converging strands, upstream of said convergence point, by means of the unidirectional twisting device, downstream of the point of convergence, the strands that have been converged, running backward the unidirectional torsion to form a twisted thread, and alternately twist in S and Z the strands upstream of said point of convergence to thereby modify said torsion in said converging strands.
