Abstract

A method for preparing a photoconductive layer of an electrophotographic plate, characterized in that it comprises combining a phthalocyanine pigment and a binder in a liquid medium said phthalocyanine containing one or more phthalocyanine in alpha, alpha and beta and alpha forms and X, and sand grinding the combination until at least a part of said alpha phthalocyanine has been converted to beta phthalocyanine.
