Abstract

A urethane bonded composition which can be foamed comprises a natural, synthetic or calcium sulphate cement, water, sand and an organic compound containing a plurality of isocyanate groups. Suitable organic polyisocyanates are tolylene diisocyanate, diphenylmethane diisocyanate, uretedione and isocyanurate polymers of these, isocyanate ended polyurethanes obtained by reacting an excess of an organic diisocyanate with a glycol, higher polyhydric alcohol, aminoalcohol, polyamine, polyester, polyesteramide or polyether. A dihydric or trihydric polyether of equivalent weight 100-1500, polyhydric alcohol, aminoalcohol, polyamine, polyester, polyesteramide or an alkyd resin can be included in the composition which can also contain solvents or thinners, e.g. xylene.
