Abstract

Automatic package conditioning machine for cigarettes, comprising members for the formation of successive batches of cigarettes, arranged superimposed and in lateral relation to the parallel axes, in said medium batches for the transfer of such groups to a conditioning line, a apparatus for supplying said line with wrapping material, and successive stations in said line for folding the wrapping material over the lots in order to form the packages, characterized in that it comprises transfer members for the lots of cigarettes throughout of said packaging line composed of pairs of parallel surfaces of supports capable of retaining the batches of cigarettes by two longitudinally opposite flanks and transferring them transversely to the axis of the cigarettes, further comprising pairs of parallel support and support members in such successive stations, a pair for each station, capable of s carrying said batches in the vicinity of their opposite end or head and rotating on respective axes, parallel to the axis of the cigarettes and transversely with respect to the direction of advancement of said batches in said packaging line, a pair of plates parallel to each other.
