Abstract

Smoke generating composition comprises liquid titanium tetrachloride, smoke acid (HClSO 3 + SO 3 ), or stannic chloride admixed with and adsorbed on the surfaces of the grains of a well dried adsorption active powder, e.g. synthetic calcium silicate, the powder comprising 5-15% by weight of the mixture and having a surface area of at least 50 m2/g.
