Abstract
An apparatus for manufacturing flat glass, comprising a bath of molten metal, whose function is to receive on it molten glass fed at a controlled speed, said glass being transformed into a belt and being advanced on said bath, a container of said bath being made refractory material and provided with external cooling means for cooling said container, characterized in that said molten metal bath is divided into at least two zones by means of at least one partition passing through the bath in the direction of the width, and because at less a part of the soil of at least one of said zones has a better thermal conductivity than the other parts of the soil.
