The process comprising oxidizing a soluble bisdithiocarbamate alkyne of structure: ** (See formula) ** where z is a metal, x is twice the reciprocal number of the valence of the metal and R is a member of the group consisting of hydrogen and CH3-, in solution with hydrogen peroxide, without adding acid in adequate amount to convert everything the bisdithiocarbamate in the corresponding bisdithiocarbamic acid, under conditions suitable to produce a soluble product containing oxygen, and thereafter add to the solution a soluble salt of a divalent metal from the group consisting of zinc, manganese, copper and cadmium, to precipitate from this way a product containing oxygen and said divalent metal.
