Abstract

A stretching apparatus for textile fibers comprising a pair of stretching rollers each of which has an annular surface supporting the board and other annular surfaces beyond on each side of the respective board supporting surface, an endless board arranged around of the annular surface of the board support on each of said rolls, and a board cleaning and guidance device including two separable board guide elements, each of said board guide elements having a board guide portion with two guide and cleaning surfaces of the board that converge in a direction away from said respective roller and that culminate in a convex protruding end portion for reversing the direction of the board, each of said board guide elements having two arched surfaces arranged in respectively opposite side faces of the side edges of said boards and that they extend beyond them, each of said arcuate surfaces having complementary shape relative to the annular periphery of said other annular surfaces of said rollers and being arranged to support the radial load thereon.
