Method for the extraction of low molecular weight fractions and/or catalyst residues from solid polymerizations of mono-1-olefins prepared by bulk polymerization, comprising contacting the effluent from the polymerization zone with a complete agent in an area of contact in conditions of liquid phase, wash the effluent, containing said solid polymerization, from said contact zone in a washing zone and recover solid polymerized product from said washing zone, characterized by heating the polymerized in a first section of said contact zone for increasing the rate of the complexation reaction and cooling said polymerization in a second section of said contact zone to a temperature sufficient to increase the extraction therefrom of low molecular weight fractions.
